Spherona Biodegradable manufactures 100% compostable tableware from sugarcane bagasse—a natural by-product of the sugar industry. Our plates, bowls, trays, and containers are a clean, practical alternative to single-use plastic, designed for food service, hospitality, catering, and retail.
Operating from a 109,500 sq. ft. facility in Tankara, Gujarat, we produce around 120 tonnes of tableware every month. Over 11 years, we’ve grown from a local manufacturer to an exporter serving the UAE, Middle East, Europe, Central America, and Western Africa.
Every Spherona product is built on three commitments: uncompromising quality, genuine sustainability, and consistent reliability.
Spherona was built on a clear belief—that quality manufacturing and environmental responsibility go hand in hand. That belief starts at the top.
Harsh Patel brings 11+ years of experience in sales, market development, and quality operations. He leads Spherona’s Sales & Operations—overseeing everything from production quality and raw material sourcing to export compliance and customer relationships. His founding insight—that sugarcane bagasse could credibly replace plastic in food service—remains the core of what Spherona does.
Spherona manufactures and supplies biodegradable, compostable tableware from sugarcane bagasse—giving the food service and packaging industries a sustainable, high-quality alternative to plastic. We serve distributors, restaurants, hotels, caterers, and international buyers who want products that are functional, food-safe, and kind to the planet.
We aim to be a globally trusted supplier of biodegradable food packaging—present in every major market, recognized for quality, and known for making sustainability accessible at scale. Our goal: prove that compostable products from renewable resources can fully replace plastic, and take that proof to the world.
Our manufacturing facility is located on Tankara–Latipar Road, Kalyanpar, Tankara, Gujarat. Spread across 109,500 sq. ft., it is purpose-built for high-volume production of bagasse tableware—from raw material intake to finished, export-ready product.
We produce around 120 tonnes of tableware monthly. Every step—bagasse pulping, moulding, drying, trimming, and inspection—is done in-house. This gives us full control over quality, lead times, and order consistency.
A certified in-house laboratory monitors every batch for strength, thickness, food-contact safety, and compostability. Our QC process ensures every shipment meets international standards.
Advanced moulding and drying equipment for precise, high-volume bagasse production with minimal waste.
Every batch tested in-house for strength, food safety, and compostability before dispatch.
Waste reduction and water recycling integrated into daily plant operations—not an afterthought.
Our quality isn’t self-declared—it’s independently verified. Spherona’s certifications reflect the standards we uphold every day: safe manufacturing, food-grade compliance, and real environmental accountability.
For B2B buyers and export partners, our certifications are proof that Spherona products meet the compliance requirements of their markets—from the EU and Gulf to institutional procurement standards.
We invested in infrastructure, machinery, and quality systems. Raising market awareness and securing consistent raw material supply were early challenges—ones we overcame by staying focused on product quality.
Product range grew. Exports began—starting with the UAE and Middle East. International buyers responded positively to Spherona's quality and reliability, opening the door to further markets.
Today, Spherona exports to Europe, Central America, Western Africa, and the Middle East. We are deepening existing partnerships and building new ones—with hospitality brands, food service businesses, and distributors worldwide.
At Spherona, sustainability is not a campaign—it’s how we operate. Every material choice, production decision, and product we ship is guided by one question: does this reduce the plastic burden on the planet?
We use sugarcane bagasse—the fibrous residue left after sugar extraction. Instead of discarding it, we turn it into durable, food-safe, fully compostable tableware. Waste becomes a resource. That’s the circular economy in practice.
Our Tankara plant integrates waste reduction and water recycling into daily operations. The values we put in our products show up in how we make them.
Every compostable Spherona plate that replaces a plastic one is a measurable win. Across thousands of restaurants, hotels, and caterers worldwide, those wins add up.
